BUSINESS PARKS MANAGEMENT
Business parks management involves several areas and depends on the definition of the respective Business Model. This may condition the economic viability of the park and be an element that enhances synergies and the correct administration and maintenance. The management of functional and operational activities, the management of contracts with suppliers, the commercial and strategic promotion are basic subjects that will be addressed in the process of sharing and dissemination of good practices.
In the meantime, there are currently enormous challenges in this sector, given the potential to improve environmental, energy and material performance, in particular by focusing on energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, electrification, clean alternative fuels, low carbon processes and technologies, adoption of circular economy models, industrial symbioses, in the dynamization of innovation poles and in the creation of new business models, new processes, products and services towards the society of the future.
The APPE does not sets itself apart from this process, also supporting the increase of knowledge and the qualification of agents, activities, or projects able to contribute for climate change mitigation, through actions towards the decarbonization of the economy and, thus, the achievement of targets, namely in the field of decarbonisation, renewable energies and energy efficiency.
TERRITORY, INFRASTRUCTURE AND LICENSING
The suitable qualification of the business sites, with the appropriate infrastructures, in order to be able to accommodate various activities, whether industrial, logistic or services, is fundamental for national competitiveness in the processes of attracting investment.
At the same time, the effective articulation of the diverse licensing entities, in the various aspects required by an investment project, is essential in order to meet promoters and prescribers’ expectations.
APPE intends to broaden communication channels and the organization of teams allowing, not only the unbolt of context costs, but also the establishment of a relationship able to boost efficient and swift licensing.
DEVELOPMENT POLICIES
APPE intends to position itself as a relevant player contributing for the location of business activity on duly qualified areas, rather than on isolated locations requiring large investments in infrastructure, such as utilities and accessibility.
It is, therefore, important to promote a legal and fiscal framework that benefits the settlement of businesses in areas that best meet the requirements of each project and sector.
At the same time and bearing in mind the need for an equal distribution of investment in the national territory, from north to south, from the coast to the interior, it is necessary to promote measures able to bring to the spotlight all regions, highlighting their natural features along with those that have been, in the meantime, developed in the region.
